A new giant MATRIX LED screen was installed at the Pancretan Stadium, in Heraklion, on July 16 and in the presence of the Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis.
The screen, which was replaced after 16 years, has a supply and installation cost of € 150,000.00, while like other projects that have been implemented, it upgrades the operation of the stadium.
In particular, the governor stated:
“Αs the Region of Crete, we are particularly pleased that through our cooperation with the Municipality of Heraklion an important project for the upgrade of the Pancretan Stadium and according to UEFA specifications, is completed with the Led Matrix panel.”
Technical characteristics of the LED MATRIX
The size of the new LED screen is 13 X 6 meters, it is colored and consists of pixels in a layout of 780 x 360 with a pixel pitch distance of 16mm.
The LED screen acts as a video wall for viewing live video, ads, images, messages, etc. as well as a classic electronic scoreboard for football and track matches through appropriate software and controllers.
It can also operate at temperatures from -20 ° C to + 60 ° C. while spare operation equipment has been provided.
