Have you tasted the cretan dakos?

Dacos is a traditional rusk made in Crete and is a trademark of the Cretan diet. It is served in every tavern or restaurant and is offered as a treat before meal.

It is eaten in all the houses throughout the island and its delicious taste is based on genuine olive oil and fresh tomato.

Dacos is a round shape rusk served with oil, fresh grated tomatoes, feta cheese, oregano and olives and consists a delicious light meal.

It is usually accompanied by raki, which is also a traditional product of the island.
