The beach of Agia Roumeli is one of the most beautiful beaches of Chania. It belongs to the homonymous village and is approximately 56 km. away from the city center, on the south side of the prefecture. During the summer months, you can reach Agia Roumeli by boat from Palaiochora, Loutro and Chora Sfakion or Sougia, choosing between frequent routes every day. A very important information is that the area of Agia Roumeli has a regional doctor’s office for emergency situations, but you should definitely take care of a first aid kit box for less important incidents, as the area does not have drug stores.
Furthermore, on the east side of the main beach, you will meet some smaller beaches which are ideal for people who want the absolute tranquility and relaxation. You have to know that these beaches, are nudism friendly so if go there you may see nudists.
